Job Description



Job Context

    A shariah based commercial bank is looking for dynamic individuals for Administration & Property Department.

Job Responsibilities

  • Negotiating with landlord for rental rent (new/renewal). Preparing Office Memo related to lease agreement-branches & Head Office for obtaining management’s decision/approval.
  • Preparing Memo on departmental issues like lease agreement, procurement of machinery equipment, vehicle & others for placement to the Management Committee, Executive Committee & BODs as and when required.
  • Preparing proposal for obtaining Bangladesh Bank’s approval on hiring office spaces for signing lease agreement, renewal of lease agreement/shifting of branch/opening of branch.
  • Processing proposal for obtaining Management’s approval on procurement/ purchasing of office equipments & machinery.
  • Scrutinizing & processing quotations and negotiation with vendors or reducing cost towards repairing & servicing of machinery equipment like Note counting machines, Photocopiers, ACs, CCTV, Alarm intruder, metal detector, security bell and follow up them for timely completion of job.
  • Monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of vendors and service providers.
  • Prepare purchase proposal for Management approval and maintain files with all the records.
  • Perform various purchasing functions; review and/or prepare bid packages for equipment or supplies and scrutinize complex bids with the bank’s specifications.
  • Serve as the liaison for the assigned department with other divisions, departments, and outside agencies; negotiate and resolve sensitive and controversial issues.
  • Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
  • As a part of procurement process assist to prepare tender notice, RFQ, circulation of notice inviting tender and facilitate bidding process including documentation.
  • Able to carry out fixed assets inventory and compilation with branches.
  • Prepare a vehicle driving roaster and deploy drivers accordingly. Ensure proper and timely maintenance of vehicle and updating related documents.
  • Prepare requisition for printing items as per demand.
  • Provide insurance coverage to bank’s assets by calling competitive offers to insurance company.
  • Ensure all utilities payment and supply in time.
  • Perform duties upholding respect and adherence to the fundamental principles of the Organization.
  • Perform any other duties as instructed by the line manager.

Employment Status


Educational Requirements

  • MBA/MBM/Masters from any reputed University, with no third class/division in his/her entire academic career.

Experience Requirements

  • At least 3 year(s)
