Job Context

  • Mahideb Jubo Somaj Kallayan Somity (MJSKS) is a non-governmental; non-political and non-profitable community development organization is going to implement SHOUHARDO III DRR Activity supported by CARE Bangladesh. The project supports communities to develop their capacity to adapt to climate change and improve their resilience to climate change, as well as supporting communities to reduce their climate change impact, Work with us to protect resources, improving quality of life and raise awareness, while providing people with access to the tools and knowledge to adapt and respond to adverse climatic impacts and adopt sustainable practices in Kurigram.

Job Responsibilities

    Bachelor/Masters in Social Science or equivalent. At least 3-4 years working experience in managerial positions including 2 years’ experience in program implementation, monitoring and Staff Supervision. Good negotiation skills. Strong field facilitation skills, knowledge in pro-poor program implementation. Preference will be given to candidates having prior working experience in the project area having experience in capacity building and plinth raising activity. Knowledge of Environmental compliance and implementation of Climate Risk Management Plan (CRM).Knowledge of good governance, DRR gender equity and multifaceted intervention. Willing to spend significant time in the field. Any other tasks assigned by supervisor/ management.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in any discipline; this may be relaxed for the highly experienced person. At least 02 years’ relevant working experience in any National/International NGO Preference will be given to candidates having prior working experience in Experience in large volume Cash distribution through MMT

Additional Requirements

  • Core Competencies: Knowledge of financial management software packages. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collect and input large volume of data. Knowledge in good record keeping practices. Good understanding on issues related to gender equity and protection
  • Others requirement: Candidate should have a good knowledge on safe guarding (Child Protection, Gender & Anti sexual harassment) issue. Should have valid Motor bike driving license. Ensuring pandemic-related safeguards are in place at meetings. Candidate will have to mention their personal email address, mobile phone & Skype ID in the CV.

Salary

  • Monthly gross salary BDT-24,451/-.

Compensation & Other Benefits

  • 1 festival bonus equivalent to 1 month gross salary for each year. 5-10% salary increment (based on gross salary) in each year as per performance appraisal. Other admissible benefit as per MJSKS policy which is mentioned in the project budget.
