Job Responsibilities
Study the assigned complaint letter thoroughly and prepare an investigation plan (According to When, Where & How) and developing a checklist, and questionnaire to investigate the allegation from respective programs
Prepare a probable list of interviewee’s like-complainant alleged accused person(s), direct & indirect witnesses and beneficiaries
Ensure to send show cause notice/charge sheet to the alleged person
Communicate with respective management staff for getting necessary logistics and program support during a field visit
Rapport building with a complaint related concerned person
Take interview of the related person while maintaining a level of high confidentiality and keeping written records with dates and signatures
Fact analysis, crosschecking and corroborating all collected documents/evidences and statements for justifying the complaints at the end of each investigation during information/data collection from the field
Prepare qualitative investigation report complying with standard format (i. e. Introduction, complaint summary, Methodology, Statements of the interviewees, own findings, fact analysis and opinion) by maintaining the quality of highest level
Attend SHEBREC’s monthly Forum and actively present the facts, evidences and reports before the SHEBREC Committee, in light of the report
Play a significant role at the office of Ombudsperson during a hearing related to any investigation
Assist with creating awareness related to SHEBR Matters across the university.
Attend unit meetings and perform duties as per demand and direction of concerned authority and upholding BRAC University values and policies.

Master’s degree in Social Science/Law/Criminology from a reputed university
Experience Requirements
At least 2 year(s)
Additional Requirements
Minimum 2 years relevant experience is preferable
Experience in the Investigation or handling of disciplinary cases will be given preference.
Sound knowledge of the overall fact-finding process, national and international laws and policies of redress sexual harassment.
Good verbal and written communication skills both in Bangla and English, Computer literacy in MS office and the internet.
Good interpersonal skills, gender sensitivity, team building capacity, empathy and ability to work under pressure, understanding and concern for diversity and inclusiveness.
Excellent presentation skills; Report writing skills both in Bangla and English.
