Job Context

• A reputed garment manufacturing & exporting company is looking for a suitable candidate to fill up the following vacant position immediately.
• Job Location: Corporate Head Office, Dhaka.

Job Responsibilities

• The Applicant should have a minimum of 5 to 7 years’ experience in Merchandising in large garments Industry/Buying House.
• Should have hands-on experience in Customer Relation Management, Product & Business Development as well as Vendor Management.
• Responsible for all merchandising issues.
• Must have the capability to independently look after all customers.
• Have Good Technical Knowledge.
• Should have the ability to handle all development jobs of Merchandising.
• Responsible for proper follow-up and committed to the timeline given by Buyers and obviously meet the timeline.
• Technically sound on Fabric Quality, Consumption & Pricing.
• Implementing new concepts & techniques to ensure high efficiency & smooth process flow.
• Provide guidance to the factory to understand and follow the system & procedures of brands.
• Ensure correct and on-time sample submission for confirmed orders and new development.
• Communicate with overseas supplier’s offices regularly & follow up as per their provided program independently.
• Coordinate between factory production, raw material sourcing, Planning, material utilization team & another relevant team for smooth production.
• Ensure correct and on-time submission of all developments (garment, fabric, accessories, trims, print, embroidery, AOP, y/d stripe, washing and all kinds of embellishments) with coordinated efforts among concerned production units and suppliers.
• Work with top management in formulating the new business strategy for the local market in accordance with the market trend, competitor’s activities, etc.
• Able to handle costing & pricing properly.
• Monitoring sample development activities.
• Sound knowledge of yarn sourcing and price matrix.
• Any other task is given by the management.

Educational Requirements

• MSc/BSc in Textile Technology Or Merchandising/Bachelor’s in Fashion Technology/Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Highly Experienced Candidate)
• Preferred Professional Certification: Having Profession Certification will be added extra advantage.
• Skills Required: Merchandising, Product Costing and budgeting, Production costing

• Age 25 to 35 years

• Apparel merchandising, Garments Industry, Marketing and merchandising, Merchandising and Production.

• Garments
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Buying House, Corporate Head office of Garments, Factory.
• Must have experience in woven items (Specially Shirts).
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
• Computer skills in MS Office, MS Excel and Internet
• Self-motivated, confident and proactive.
• Focused and detail-oriented.
• Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Should have continued learning mindset.
• Capable to manage different Buyer’s requirements independently
• Efficiently provide all kinds of support to the group leader from receiving orders to final shipment
• Possess a high sense of responsibility in the order to completion of the assignment
• Should be a long-term planner.
