Setting up, cleaning, and organizing work stations for daily kitchen production
Preparing ingredients for daily production; cleaning vegetables, chopping/ cutting, marinating meat/ fish etc.
Following work safety procedures to use kitchen gas burner, utensils, and grill
Taking daily product/ ingredient usage list from head cook and follow correct recipes to prepare food accordingly
Cooking according to food health and safety standards and guiding the assistants and helpers with such practice
Recommending ideas for specials or seasonal or new dishes suitable to school children and adults
Handling multiple food preparations efficiently
Monitoring multiple food preparations as per daily production order
Make sure to deliver all prepared food in clean dishes/ boxes and with proper packaging and wrapping
Sanitizing and cleaning work stations and utensils
Reordering stock and food supplies weekly basis.
Storage of food materials by following hygienic procedure, n.b. using date tag for cooked food or preparation or marinated items, checking expiration date, taste and quality.
Monitoring other cooks and kitchen helper of the assigned section
Assisting other cooks in preparing food or helping other team members when needed

Physical endurance to stand for an entire shift

Able to quickly memorize complex or multiple orders
SSC or equivalent
Previous experience as a cook, or relevant work experience
Able to work from early mornings to afternoon and on weekends
Able to bend, move, and lift up to 10kg or more
Physically able to stand and move during the length of duty hours; able to bend and kneel through shift; able to lift up to 10kg or more
Must pass a background and health check
Able to read and write Bengali and basic English letters/ words
