Job Context

  • Primary role is to assess the creditworthiness of an individual or company. Credit analysts gather different financial information from a customer, such as earnings and past repayment history, to assess their ability to honor financial obligations.
  • Designation: Up to Senior Officer

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze the credit applications with a view to increase the Bank’s profitability and safeguard the Bank from potential losses.
  • Scrutinize the card applications and verify the facts and gather information from branch network, verification agents, and from the applicants directly, however, personal channels may be used to collect and verify information, if needed for giving decisions on the files.
  • Provide best effort in maintaining turnaround time.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with respect to PPG, internal policies / procedures and external regulatory requirement.
  • Exercise all internal & external audit recommendations.
  • Recommend the credit card applications based on minimizing risk and maximizing business profitability.
  • Based on the proper analysis and review need to make decisions regarding recommendation, approval or rejection whichever determines appropriate.
  • It is imperative to maintain a balance between the risk and business requirements while assessing the card applications.
  • Maintain and nourish both internal and external relationships for smoother, efficient operation and with a view to provide service culture for others.
  • Provide risk mitigation solutions / alternatives when necessary in line with the policies, guidelines and overall risk appetite.
  • Maintain a network of continuous and interactive relationship with the branch managers, sales managers, direct sales team, and credit analysts regarding credit decision issues.
  • Maintain a service oriented culture to achieve service excellence objectives.
  • Actively assist the collection team with all collection activities
  • Extensively analyze the customers’ information before making any credit decision and maintain a relationship network.
  • Provide valuable information, suggestions or assistance to the collection staff as and when required.

  • Bachelor degree in any discipline
  • Candidate must be from a reputed UGC-approved university with no 3rd division.

  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skill
  • Dedicated, proactive and hardworking.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
