Job Context

We are looking for Design Engineer, who is well known about the Drawing & Design of Fire Detection, Protection, Fire Alarm, Fire Standpipe, Hydrant & Sprinkler System, as per NFPA & BNBC Code.

Job Responsibilities

• A. ROLE OBJECTIVE
• The main objective of the role includes:
• Design & Development of end-to-end solutions for Fire Protection & Fire Detection System.
• Organizational Knowledge Development & Management
• Job Planning & Delivery
• B PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
• The Candidate should have core Design Experience in Fire Protection & Fire Detection systems in high-rise buildings and Factories.
• Basic technical Knowledge about all the MEP services in a building to have better coordination with overall building services
• Other Soft skills requirements include Presentation skills, Verbal & Written communication skills, Planning skills, Problem Solving and Decision-making skills etc.
• Team Leader to work with at least 4-6 Team members.
• C. SOFTWARE & TOOLS EXPERTISE
• Project Scheduling Software like MS Project
• CAD software like AutoCAD, Design tools specific to FPS Services
• D. FUNCTIONAL ROLE REQUIREMENTS
• Design & Development
• a. Perform Principal Consultant role for Fire Protection & Fire Detection System.
• b. Coordinate with Clients/Architect Team on gathering inputs and requirements for Fire Protection & Fire Detection System.
• c. Analyzing Fire & Life safety requirement of a Building. Coordinate with Design team & Architect for preparation of Concept design.
• d. Guide & Prepare list of detailed deliverables like Project schedule, Concept Design Documents, Tender, BOQ, and budget etc.
• e. Prepare Concept Design and Submit concept design to Clients & Architects for their approval.
• f. Present the Concept designs to Clients/Architects.
• g. Coordinate with Engineers & Drafter team for preparation of Detail design documents, calculations, reports, drawings and other as necessary for the project.
• h. Prepare Detail design documents including Drawings, BOQ, and Tender etc.
• i. Co-ordinate with Architect for approval of Electro-mechanical layouts.
• j. Clarify the Technical issues at site.
• k. Support the Clients for project execution.
• l. Planning / Budgeting / Forecasting.
• Organizational Knowledge Development & Management
• a. Develop Training material specific to Fire Protection & Fire Detection services
• b. Maintain the professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications (NFPA/BNBC); establishing personal networks; participating in professional society activities
• c. Develop design standards/documents for Fire Protection & Fire Detection services
• Job Planning & Delivery
• a. Plan the projects & Deliverable
• b. Execute the Plan, and Ensure on-time delivery

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Architecture
• Skills Required: AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Solidworks

Experience Requirements

• 2 to 4 year(s)
• The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
  Fire Protection and Detection System
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  Engineering Firms, Fire Fighting and Safety

Additional Requirements

• Age 20 to 35 years
• Only males are allowed to apply
• Must be Knowledge about NFPA-13,14,20,25,72,80,101.
• Manage the client and handle the projects.
• Must be knowledge about the Microsoft office (MS, XL, Power point), Adobe acrobat DC& Auto-Cad.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Estimate & BOQ for both system.
• Should have positive attitude.
