Job Context

• Monitor safety performance of on-site workers to determine vulnerability.
• Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.)
• Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker`s compensation claims.
• Store hazardous materials and dangerous equipment in specially designated storage places.
• Investigating causes of accidents and other unsafe conditions on the job site.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the development of OHS (Occupational Health & Safety) policies and programs.
• Identify and remove unsafe or hazardous materials from job sites prior to each shift.
• Inspect workplace at the beginning of each day to make sure it is safe for operation.
• Perform inspection on equipment and tools that workers will use during their shift.
• Perform incident investigations to gauge measures that need to be taken to prevent them the next time.
• Write detailed report of on-site incidents.
• Conduct detailed safety audits on a periodic basis.
• Educate workers about the company’s safety policy and procedures that they need to follow.
• Conduct safety trainings and orientations.
• Design & implement “Man Machine System”
• Develop and submit comprehensive safety report of each inspection undertaken.
• Ensure safe dumping of construction materials.
• Ensure proper protection for electrical and civil engineering works.
• Must be able to establish a safe Fire protection system at site.
• Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Environmental Science, Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg)
• Skills Required: Health Safety and Environment, Risk Management

• 8 to 10 year(s)

• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  Fire Fighting and Safety

Additional Requirements

• Age 25 to 40 years
• Only males are allowed to apply
• Proven experience as safety officer
• In depth knowledge of legislation (eg. OSHA/EPA) and procedures
• Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
• Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety
• Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
• Proficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Diligent with great attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics
