Job Context

Responsible for all fabric related activities started from development to bulk fabric (Knit & Woven production). Work with factory for approval process, knowledge about testing method to ensure the quality and evaluate the fabrics for new develop. Closely monitoring bulk fabric production to achieve the garments Ex-factory.

Job Responsibilities

• Involves carrying out a range of technical, investigative and quality control work
• on fabrics.
• Dealing with customer queries and complaints.
• Maintain Lab-dip, Sample Fabric and Collar/Cuff development chart and keep update in daily basis.
• Work closely with knit fabric mills concern department regarding fabric quality issue.
• Ensuring that products meet set requirements and test specifications
• (e.g. color fastness, Pilling, Dimensional stability, durability etc.).
• Working with factory Merchant and Fabric concern for bulk fabric issue and ensuring the solution.
• Visit factory to get update of development/Bulk fabric progress.
• Maintain a bulk fabric/collar chart and update the status every day and share with Merchant.
• Evaluate the shade submission and fabric quality against lab-dip/Master standard.
• Release the bulk fabric/collar approval comments thru mail and sign a physical copy for factory/QA reference.
• Maintain all bulk fabric approval record separately at least 2 years.
• Maintain a fabric Master standard shade file.
• Keeping up to date with trends and innovations of new fabrics.

Educational Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor of Science in Textile Engineering from any reputed university.

Experience Requirements

• At least 5 year(s)

Additional Requirements

• Age 27 to 40 years
• Only males are allowed to apply
• At least 5 year(s) as Fabric Technician.
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments Buying office, Liaison Office, country office, Fabric mill.
• Knowledge, Competencies & skills:
• Smart, Team player, paired with agile mindset and can-do attitude.
• Good communication skill in Bangla and English.
• Very good skills in MS Office.
