Job Responsibilities

  • The GM, Administration will particulate and provide input on the committees of Facilities Planning, Emergency Preparedness, Contract Negotiating and Capital Planning in bring a blend of professional experience, advanced education and personal qualities for the role, whose responsibilities but not limited to are mentioned as follows :
  • Overseeing daily business operations.
  • Developing & implementing growth strategies.
  • Increases Management’s effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling and disciplining managers, communicating values, strategies and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; developing incentives; cultivating a climate for offering information and opinions and providing educational opportunities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly editing and proofreading.
  • A keen sense of urgency, adaptability and accountability to strive for excellence in high pressure situations.
  • Standard Intervene in situations involving patients, visitors, hospital staff and other external customers.
  • Coordinate operations and personnel activities to meet CSU/Departmental, Hospital and Health System objectives related to the provision of services within designated areas.
  • Oversee patient care flow while redirecting and allocating resources. Determine necessary space, equipment, supplies and support systems to ensure effective functioning of unit/department.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Ensure a work environment that upholds compliance with company policies and procedures as well as local state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Obtain adequate facts and evaluates data to identify and intervene in actual and/or potential safety and risk management issues.
  • Communicate issues identified by front line staff to appropriate administrative team related to new administrative or departmental initiatives.
  • Assist in evaluating and reassigning staff during crisis situations.
  • Coach staff in problem solving, effective communication strategies, conflict resolution and career path opportunities.
  • Confers with Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and other administrative personnel to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Educational Requirements

  • Masters degree in any discipline
  • Work requires graduation from an accredited master’s degree program in either business or health-related field. MBA in Healthcare management or MPH in hospital administration is preferable.

    Hospitals

Additional Requirements

  • Age at least 45 years
  • Only males are allowed to apply
  • At least Ten (10) years of responsible managerial experience in a hospital.
  • Computer proficiency related to Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, and Word) and other specialized software and/or databases.
  • Ability to mentor, lead and motivate individuals and/or groups of individuals toward the accomplishment of departmental and organizational goals
  • Experience in Hospital operations, clinical administration, good computer savvy and leadership quality.
