Job Context

    We have immediate opening for GM/DGM, Land Acquisition & Purchase in North/South Bengal Districts-Bangladesh. This opportunity is based out on accepting new challenges within a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for leading the Land Acquisition team and all members involved in the diligence process, including directing the negotiation and legal documentation of purchase agreements and escrow & title documents.

Job Responsibilities

  • Take and ensure strategic planning, supervising and managing the project effectively and efficiently.
  • Have capabilities to maintain liaison with DC Office/SP Office/Police Station/Land Office/Sub Register Office /PGCB/PDB/WDB/ Environment/labor/local authorities (Mayor, Chairman, Ward Commissioner) and other related authorities.
  • Maintain knowledge of market land activities, trends and opportunities and generate prospective land deals through networking with industry and local contacts, brokers, title companies, developers, other builders, land sellers and others.
  • Investigate land offerings through network of Brokers, consultants and principals.
  • Develop assumptions to support financial analysis of development and investment opportunities, including overseeing the creation of detailed pro-forma and financial models on a community level; oversee maintenance of the models to ensure they are accurate and up to date.
  • Lead and direct due diligence efforts with internal team, external consultants and local jurisdictions.
  • Prepare and present Acquisition Reports for management with center led executive.
  • Draft and negotiate Joint Venture term sheets and operating agreements.
  • Manage all purchase and sale post-closing obligations.
  • Work with department head to obtain entitlements on lands acquired /under contract, including leading the interaction with local public officials and building/maintaining strong relationships.
  • Coordinate with land and finance on business plan updates.
  • Prepare and maintain North-West / South-West Strategic Land Document, collaborating with Leadership Team in developing long range planning and growth objectives for the division, including defining geographic, product, and pricing goals to guide acquisition efforts and support the division’s overall strategic plan.
  • Grounding any other duties assigned by the management

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor/ Master degree in any discipline.
  • A minimum of four years of experience managing complex project entitlement and permitting.

Additional Requirements

  • Age 40 to 50 years
  • Only males are allowed to apply
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in Land Acquisition, Project Management or Finance roles. Large volume land purchase preferable for power plant.
