Job Description



Job Context

  • Head Waiter is responsible for all of the business and service operations of patients, attendants, staffs, consultants, senior leaders by ensuring international standards of care and JCI standards for Quality and Patient Safety is maintained at all times.
  • He/she is responsible for conducting training, scheduling and managing waiters as well as ensuring inventory, supplies and other equipment used of F&B services.
  • The job holder must also maintain personal hygiene and grooming, and adhere to area cleanliness, food safety and infection control guidelines.

Job Responsibilities

  • To manage daily staff allocation and duty roaster preparation.
  • Conduct daily Staff briefing in relevant shifts in staff hygiene, staff personal grooming, food safety and infection control guidelines.
  • Check and ensure all supplies (Cutleries, Crockery, Glassware, paper napkin, serviette cloth, etc.) are available for patient/room Services, cafeteria Services during mealtime.
  • Check and ensure room service and other inter departmental billing procedure is maintained and all relevant documentation is updated.
  • Maintain weekly/monthly inventory of all supplies and ensure all inventory is updated.
  • Maintain all departmental checklist on daily/ weekly basis.
  • Monitor and control breakage/ damage of food serving glassware items, kitchen utensils, dishwashing machine, cleaning tools.
  • Monitor and control waste/misuse of disposable/onetime items (paper napkins, boxes, cups).
  • To maintain cleanliness and food safety protocol as per EHD and JCI Standard of operating procedure.
  • To handle and solve complaints about F&B beverage at initial stage and fulfill the customer needs first.

  • Minimum Education Qualification: HSC

Experience Requirements

  • At least 3 year(s)

Additional Requirements

  • Head Waitering/ Supervisory role in F&B Services for at least three years.
  • Good working knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Good organizational skills, ability to prioritize and work effectively within a sometimes-pressurized environment, whilst maintaining compliance to company policies and procedures.
