Job Context

We are looking to hire a dedicated Content Writer to create content for blogs, articles, product descriptions, social media, and the company website. The Content Writer`s responsibilities include evaluating analytics to adjust content as needed, regularly updating the company`s website, and promoting the company blog by pitching articles to various third-party platforms. You should also be able to follow editorial guidelines when creating content.

Job Responsibilities

• Conducting in-depth research on industry-related topics in order to develop original content.
• Developing content for blogs, articles, product/product descriptions, social media, and the company website.
• Writing clear, attractive copy with a distinct voice
• Creating compelling headlines and body copy that will capture the attention of the target audience.
• Proofreading content for errors and inconsistencies.
• Editing and polishing existing content to improve readability.
• Sourcing images and other relevant content.
• Interpreting copywriting briefs to understand project requirements
• Collaborate with designers, PR, and other professionals on large- and small-scale marketing projects.
• Assisting the marketing team in developing content for advertising campaigns.
• Meeting with account executives to discuss the client’s requirements and core messages familiarising themselves with the product, target audience, and competitor activities in the market.
• Identifying customers’ needs and recommending new content to address gaps in the company’s current content.
• Brainstorming ideas and concepts for the visual and words with other members of the creative team.
• Presenting initial ideas to the chief creative officer, some of which may get rejected or get developed into workable concepts.
• Writing various copy options, which may be presented to the client as a storyboard (a consecutive series of frames depicting the script and drawings that may be used).
• Modifying copy until the client is satisfied.
• Overseeing the production phase, booking, and liaising with designers, illustrators, printers, photographers, and production companies.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English, Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science & Engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, or related field.
