Hand over the shipping documents, L/C, and other related documents, and keep an eye on the customs assessment, port, and agent fees for clearing the item.
Examining and finalizing the C&F agency’s supplied demand for duties, taxes, port fees, agent fees, and other payments.
Checking stock levels and the quality of newly arrived raw materials, chemicals, machinery, parts, and other items on a regular basis with plant representatives. If any faults or losses in imported items are discovered, make a claim against the responsible party for compensation.
If there was any damage caused by the sea or fire, file a claim.
Contact the unit head, government bodies, or bankers for the collecting of transaction supporting documents, such as vouchers, SRO circulars, and policies, in order to ensure that the imposed rules and laws are followed. Assist in the settlement of quarries, as well as the application for the renewal of import-related licenses and certificates.
Detailed understanding of all Customs, BGMEA, BOI, Bank, and Custom House import-related activities.
Maintaining a record of L/C files and costing, as well as finalizing C&F agents’ bills and insurance premium bills.
Performs customs document archiving in accordance with legal criteria.
Import clearance, customs, and documentation were all completed successfully, allowing the goods to be delivered on schedule.
Ensure that all import logistical activities are completed in a timely manner.
Maintain frequent touch with overseas suppliers, shippers, and local agents in order to obtain up-to-date information on the consignment’s status.
Must be well-versed on bill of ladings and other shipping documents, as well as the UCPDC.
Payments should be followed up with the bank for import.
