Job Context

    Lead the preparation process of business documents to assist the sales & business development teams to perform their sales and marketing activities and attract newer clients. Lead the documentation of user manuals, technical and business proposals, software requirements specifications, API specifications, and other supporting documents to communicate complex and technical information more easily. Develop, gather, and disseminate technical information among customers, developers, and other stakeholders. To establish an effective communication process with existing customers and other stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

  • Guide the team to prepare proposals, presentations as per the request of the Sales and Marketing teams with a clear understanding of the requirements and specifications of the customers.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of bids/offers within the deadline with strict conformity of the rules and regulations of the concerned organizations.
  • Guide the team to prepare process flow charts, diagrams, service descriptions, press releases, reports/invoices, project completion reports, letters, emails, etc.
  • Guide the team members to prepare technical documents for IT-enabled services as per the requirements of the software engineers, architects, and system administrators, including procedures, architecture descriptions, technical specifications, and detailed configuration information.
  • Work with vendors/suppliers/partners and engineers to acquire necessary product information and create relevant technical documents such as User Manual, SRS, DFD, BRD, ERD, Use Cases, etc.
  • Ensure that the Technical Communicators are preparing easy-to-understand user interface text, online help, and developer guides.
  • Lead the creation of tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications and software.
  • Review and edit existing technical documents to improve writing, styles, formatting, contents, etc., and also keep records of any changes made.
  • Review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, and content.
  • Review competitive products and documentation to further improve our documentation and processes.
  • Ensure complete secrecy in managing confidential documents.

Educational Requirements

  • Honors/Masters with a major in Journalism, English, or Communications or Business Studies, Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or relevant professional experience

Experience Requirements

  • 5 to 8 year(s)

Additional Requirements

  • Proven working experience in technical & business documentation and bid management in reputed organizations.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and coordination skill.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent command of English and professional writing skills. Candidates with an overall score of 7.0 (minimum) in IELTS or other similar international tests will get preference.
  • Having skills, especially in the following tools: Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, SmartDraw, MS-Visio, MS-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and Email. Experience with online help creation software is a definite asset.
