Job Context

This position will start on 01 January 2023, based in Ukhiya, Cox`s Bazar.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care, working closely with the clinical staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality comprehensive primary healthcare services;
• Triage, screen and assess patients;
• Perform basic first aid and wound care;
• Perform any necessary neonatal and obstetric resuscitation activity;
• Identify survivors of sexual assault and refer them for registration, counseling, and care through the psychosocial and protection focal point on the mobile team;
• Deliver hygiene promotion, health education, and patient/caregiver counseling;
• Ensure adherence to infection prevention and control measures;
• Treat patients according to standard treatment protocols;
• Ensure accurate recording of information in the clinic registers, and timely completion of summary reports;
• Ensure wards/clinic areas are appropriately stocked with essential equipment and supplies;
• Ensure patient confidentiality is respected, and that all consultations are conducted in a dignified and respectful manner;
• Provide mental and psychosocial care.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with local communities and other implementing partners;
• Act as a representative at Camp level meetings in the absence of the medical doctor.
• Ensure all patient consultations are documented and patient records are completed;
• Submit daily reports in a timely manner;
• Ensure regular inventory and consumption tracking of medical drugs and supplies;
• Work with relevant staff to ensure prompt requesting of medical drugs and supplies.
• Oversee OPD data collection at health facilities utilizing data collected via facility-based registers and data collection tools;
• Analyze and review data with clinical staff identifying areas where service improvement is necessary.

Educational Requirements

• Diploma in Medical in registered with BMDC, Diploma in Medical in Clinical Medicine
• Training/Trade Course: Training in IMCI and MhGAP is desirable

• At least 2 year(s)
