Job Context

NRB Bank Limited one of the 4th generation commercial banks in the country aims to be the preferred provider of targeted financial services as a conduit for investment to and from Bangladesh for Bangladeshi communities both domestically and internationally, to accelerate the industrialization of Bangladesh.

Job Responsibilities

• Audit and inspection whether the banking activities are being conducted in compliance with Islamic Shari’ah or not, prepare a detailed report and submit it to the member secretary of the Shari’ah Supervisory Committee.
• Present Shari’ah audit/inspection report to the Shari’ah Supervisory Committee. The opinion of the committee shall be submitted to the Managing Director and CEO.
• Assist Member Secretary of Shari’ah Supervisory Committee in record/preservation and implementation of decisions and recommendations of Shari’ah Supervisory Committee meetings.
• Assist Member Secretary to co-ordinate different activities of the Supervisory Committee Secretariat.
• Assist member Secretary to present & organize information and data to prepare memo for Shari’ah Supervisory Committee.

Experience Requirements

• At least 10 year(s)

Additional Requirements

• Age at most 45 years
• Expert in Holy Qur’an, Hadith, Fiqh, Usule Fiqh, Islamic Economics, General Banking and experienced in Islamic Banking. Should be proficient in Bengali, Arabic and English languages.
• Should have 10 years banking audit experience in Islamic Banking.
• Should have good knowledge in all areas of banking operations and auditing.
• Must have sound knowledge in Shariah Auditing and Laws.
• Must have knowledge in framing of Islamic Banking Rules and Regulations and ensuring their implementations.
• Must have experience in maintaining co-ordination with the Shari’ah Supervisory Committee.
• Age not exceeding 45 years (Age relaxation may be given to deserving candidates).
