Job Responsibilities

    Project summary: Shobai Miley Shikhi (Everyone Learns Together) Activity is a 5-year program funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Shobai Miley Shikhi (SMSA) focuses on supporting the Government of Bangladesh in achieving the goal of full enrollment and quality education for all its children, including those with disabilities. The Operations Specialist will oversee all operational – logistical, financial, staff – and data collection activities to support Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) teacher training of 128 Master training in Dhaka and 35,000 teachers in Khulna and Kurigram for a planned duration of 30 months.

Educational Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field with three (3) years’ experience in program operations and implementation, staff management, and financial management or bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Finance or a related field with Five (5) years’ experience in program operations and implementation, staff management, and budget management

Experience Requirements

  • At least 3 year(s)

Additional Requirements

  • Work experience with USAID and US Government regulations is preferred. Relevant experience, such as working on programs sponsored by international donors (the World Bank, the UN, the ADB etc.), will be valuable
  • Demonstrated experience in reporting, monitoring & evaluation, and closeout of a program
  • Extensive experience working with counterparts at various levels of government including educational administration is desirable
