Job Context

• Mahideb Jubo Somaj Kallayan Somity (MJSKS) is a non-governmental; non-political and non-profitable community development organization is going to implement SHOUHARDOIII plus & DRR program supported by CARE Bangladesh. The projects will continue to delivery improve gender equitable and resilient food nutrition security, increasing equitable access to income. Projects will achieve crosscutting components of gender, governance and resilience. The projects supports communities to develop their capacity to adapt to climate change and improve their resilience to climate change, as well as supporting communities to reduce their climate change impact, Work with us to protect resources, improving quality of life and raise awareness, while providing people with access to the tools and knowledge to adapt and respond to adverse climatic impacts and adopt sustainable practices in Kurigram.

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for timely and quality implementation on behalf of the organization: plinth raising at HH and community level, Shelter repair and maintenance work, participant’s training and input distribution, FPP volunteers’ selection and capacity building; Local Service Provider’s (LSPs) capacity building, community mobilization; coordination with stakeholders and reporting. Capacity development of project staffs. Guide and support program staffs, LSPs and volunteers to implement program intervention effectively. Supervise all field level activities to ensure that all staffs are working according to the project work plan. S/he will be responsible for local level coordination to ensure community and administration’s buy-in; provide systematic feedback for smooth implementation of program activities in all the targeted Unions and Upazilas. Responsible for supporting the preparation and full implementation of the Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Plan and Environmental Mitigation and Management Plan (EMMP) and Climate Risk Management Plan (CMP). Responsible for timely reporting (narrative, financial and MEL) and ensuring environmental, quality control and administrative/ financial compliance of the donor. Responsible for program planning (annual, quarterly and monthly plans), implementation, budgeting, financial management, staff management, report writing and monitoring & evaluation. Maintain regular liaison with MJSKS management and donor/partner all activities and timely and adequate donor reporting. Any other tasks assigned by management

Educational Requirements

• Master’s degree in any discipline; preference will be given to post graduate degree in Social Science and/or Development Studies At least 10 years’ working experience in any National/International NGO; and at least 05 years’ experience in similar position, particularly in DRR & Resilience, Agriculture & Livelihood and Nutrition project. Clear understanding on DRR, Livelihoods and Nutrition project dynamics integrating women empowerment, youth, private sector, market engagement and financial inclusion. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bengali. Computer skill on MS word, excel, power point, virtual communication (zoom, teams etc.) and others

Additional Requirements

• Candidate should have a good knowledge on safe guarding (Child Protection, Gender & Anti sexual harassment) issue. Should have valid Motor bike driving license. Ensuring pandemic-related safeguards are in place at meetings. Candidate will have to mention their personal email address, mobile phone & Skype ID in the CV.

• Monthly gross salary BDT-71,734/-

Compensation & Other Benefits

• 1 festival bonus equivalent to 1 month gross salary for each year. 5-10% salary increment (based on gross salary) in each year as per performance appraisal. Other admissible benefit as per MJSKS policy which is mentioned in the project budget.
